Our client, a well-established commercial AV design, integration, and managed services company, specializing primarily in luxury retail and public spaces, has an immediate opening for an experienced Commercial AV Installation and Service Technician to help them with successful installation and repairs of a wide variety of audio/visual projects.

Overview:

The successful candidate must possess excellent customer service skills, a strong work ethic, excellent organization skills and a solid understanding of AV Systems and troubleshooting.

Must be able to work with all necessary tools for any potential job and possess a high level of expertise on various electronic and mechanical systems. You must be able to install various audio and video components such as speaker, amplifiers, DSP’s, LCD monitors & mounts and dvLED walls. Must be able to recognize wiring or device components that require repair or replacement and be able to carry out those tasks. Test and adjusts electronic equipment to ensure that they are in optimal working order. The person in this role will be communicating with customers, such as instructing them on the handling of the devices in question and explaining the problems and solutions.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Must be able to interpret and understand Audio and Video Wiring Schematics and other project documents.
  • Complete service calls using diagnostic/troubleshooting skills.
  • Must be punctual, able to meet deadlines, detail oriented and possess superb organizational skills. Additionally, the ideal candidate should express good communication/people skills and above all have a positive attitude
  • Completes daily electronic record keeping.
  • Follows and maintains proper safety practices.
  • Ensures all work complies with company policies, procedures, and code standards.
  • Maintain an on-going dialog with Project Manager and Service Admin, ensuring that work quality, performance, and materials meet required schedules and expectations.
  • Handles other duties relative to the job as assigned by management.

  • Must be able to travel within the coverage area as needed.

Required Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years Commercial AV experience
  • 70 Volt & 8 Ohm Audio systems
  • Networked AV Systems
  • Atlona Control Systems
  • Video Conferencing & Teleconferencing systems, Conference Room DSP’s/Echo Cancellation/Voice Lift
  • LCD and Direct View LED Video Walls
  • Digital Signage
  • Live-Streaming Systems
  • Experience with Biamp/BSS/DBX/Atmosphere
  • DBX, JBL, Atlas/Atmosphere, Sound Reinforcement Systems, Teleconferencing Systems, and Video Presentation Systems. Advanced knowledge and certification in control software and programming etc.
  • Must possess proven problem-solving & critical thinking skills.
  • Valid Driver’s license (no points or at-fault accidents)

Schedule:

Hours: 8 hour shift, M-F- Must be able to work occasional early mornings or evenings to accommodate their customers’ needs.
