The Pricing Analyst & Sales Support is a position designed to assist with the growth and development of a global freight forwarding organization. As part of the Sales Support team, the position will report to the Sales & Marketing and respective Branch Manager, and should include skills of account management, quoting, customer service, data analysis, troubleshooting obstacles for alternatives, and sales support. Strong written and oral communication skills, and experience with MS Excel are also required. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment essential.

Freight Forwarding and beverage experience is required.

We are in search of a versatile, energetic, and driven individual to join the team in the North East of the United States as a Pricing Analyst & Sales Support. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and efficiently managing pricing to ensure competitiveness in the market, and optimize customer satisfaction. Your key responsibilities will involve collaborating with stakeholders across different departments and utilizing external resources to conduct market evaluations, and analyze prospects, ultimately providing valuable analytical reports.  You will be contributing to this organization's success and possess the acumen to excel in a dynamic environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct data analysis and interpretation to identify trends, patterns, and potential opportunities.
  • Keep pricing records for customers up to date, managing rate sheets and pricing databases.
  • Establish and uphold Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure service consistency and excellence for both existing and new customers, actively participating in the implementation process of newly acquired business.
  • Generate pricing and business analysis reports, presenting them to senior management to support informed decision-making processes.
  • Take ownership of day-to-day sales support for assigned accounts, which includes communicating with clients, creating necessary reports, rate matrices, sales proposals, spot quotes, and quarterly quotes, as well as updating client information forms.
  • Coordinate with the overseas team for rate requests and discussions.
  • Prepare monthly reports on each assigned account, analyzing any business changes and contributing to new business development initiatives.
  • Play a vital role in expanding business with existing accounts, exploring and incorporating new trade lanes.
  • Utilize all internal and external software and databases, including CRM, to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Prepare RFI (Request for Information) and RFQ (Request for Quotation) documents or any other rate proposals as required.
  • Attend sales meetings, sales calls, or management meetings as requested.
  • Proactively seek alternative shipping solutions, including exploring new routes when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of combined experience in pricing, sales, and analysis.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the International Shipping and Transportation industry.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and skilled in conducting internet and media research.
  • Supply Chain Expertise: Experience in Supply Chain and Logistics, with particular exposure to CPG, FMCG, and Beverage sectors considered a significant advantage.
  • Additional Skills: Knowledge in Freight Procurement Software is a plus.
  • Numerical Acumen: Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts accurately.
  • Attention to Detail: Acute attention to detail, along with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Salary:  $60-80k with a comprehensive benefit package.
