Our client, an AV Solutions Provider that goes above and beyond to improve the meeting room experience for their clients, is looking for a Commercial Audio Visual Design/ Sales Engineer to join their team.

The individual in this role will provide support and expertise to their sales team and project managers to take complex audio-visual systems from start to completion with client acceptance. 

Along with your excellent communication and customer service skills it will be combined with a technically sound understanding of some of the following: Cisco, Polycom, Crestron, AMX, Extron, Biamp, and other AV/VTC/UCC products. 

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experienced in AV design, job-cost quotes, and system drawings. This a hybrid role, requiring in-person reporting, 3 days a week, to the Beaverton, OR office.  Want to relocate to the Portland, OR area? This company will pay towards relocation expenses!
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate job costs for design build projects in conjunction with the sales team.
  • Provide accurate measurements and calculations to support AV system designs.
  • Provide detailed material list and account for all job costs associated with projects assigned.
  • Create accurate project estimation from a needs analysis or set of bid documents which typically consists of a set of job drawings and specification book.
  • Create submittal and installation documentation that is required of a given project.
  • Produce all system drawings and documentation that is required of the project, including but not limited to one-line documents, rack elevations, BOM, Change Orders, RFI’s, O&M manuals, close-out documentation and as-built documentation and drawings.
  • Maintain a positive customer interaction throughout every job and perform work with the best interest of the company in mind.

  • Cisco and/or Cisco partner experience is a plus

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design Engineering or equivalent professional experience. 
  • CTS-D or ability to achieve within 6 months of employment.
  • Strong aptitude and desire to learn AV design and systems engineering. 
  • Proficiency in digital signal processing software.
  • Strong work ethic, drive, and aptitude may be considered in lieu of, for the right candidate.
