Our client, an innovative and growing AV Solutions Provider, has an immediate opening for a Project Engineer to expand their Project Engineering team with a responsible, customer-focused, results-driven individual.

The individual in the Project Engineer role will need excellent communication and customer service
skills combined with a technically sound understanding of some of the following: Cisco, Poly, Crestron,
AMX, Extron, Biamp, and other AV/VTC/UCC products.

The individual in this role is responsible for supporting projects from receipt of order through client
acceptance. This role will be responsible for reviewing projects to ensure the proposed solution meets the
technical requirements to deliver on design intent, releasing equipment for order, working alongside CAD
resources to create and maintain infrastructure and installation signal flow drawings, supporting project
change orders, and responding to installation and configuration questions as they arise. This a hybrid
role, requiring in-person reporting, 3 days a week, to the Beaverton, OR office.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and refine the detailed material list and account for all job costs associated with projects assigned.
  • Create or coordinate with CAD resources to create submittal and installation documentation that is required for a given project.
  • Support troubleshooting of issues in the field at the request of assistance from a Lead Installer.
  • Provide a detailed material list and account for all job costs associated with projects assigned.
  • Adjust communications to fit the audience and message. Shares information freely and openly and with other stakeholder groups.
  • Partner with clients’ operations team to deliver the scope and intent of the proposed solution for implementation.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with Division 27 Specifications
  • Superb problem-solving skills
  • High aptitude for learning
  • Highly adaptable to change
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Intermediate computer skills in MS Office
  • Must be capable of working well both independently or as part of a team

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design Engineering or equivalent professional experience
  • CTS or ability to achieve within 6 months of employment
  • Strong aptitude and desire to learn AV design and systems engineering
  • Strong work ethic, drive, and aptitude may be considered in lieu of, for the right candidate
  • A preferred candidate will be a CTS-I or CTS-D
