Our client, an innovative, growing and trusted engineering and architectural consulting firm has an opening for a Project Surveyor.  The individual in this role will be responsible for understanding and communicating project scope, managing multiple projects and team members, training and mentorship of staff, and providing all land survey documents and deliverables consistent with the position.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 8+ years of related work experience.
  • Professional Degree in Land Surveying Civil Engineering, or equivalent required.
  • Registered Licensed Surveyor (PS), preferred or be able to obtain licensure with 6-8 months.
  • Experience performing ALTA and Boundary Surveys, Topographic/Existing Condition & Route Surveys, and Construction Layout.
  • Experience managing and directing less experienced staff.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3-D and Trimble product experience helpful.
  • Applicant must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and proof of insurance.


Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Manage the survey tasks.
  • Scheduling the survey crews.
  • Determining the most appropriate data collection method.
  • Field data preparation, record research, processing the field data, verifying the accuracy of survey data, survey calculations.
  • Managing the base mapping process, preparing plats and easements.
  • Research previous survey evidence, maps, deeds, physical evidence, and other records to obtain data needed for field surveys.
  • Perform field work as needed.

Must haves:
